Slightly less sweet than their red counterparts, Gold Beets have a more mellow, more subtle flavor. The leaves are edible and are actually more nutritious than the beet itself. Gold Beets can be steamed or roasted, and are ideal for recipes with delicate hues that may be "stained" by a red beet.
